SteerStart ("the app") is designed to keep your information private. This policy explains what the app accesses and how it is used.

Summary

SteerStart does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. Everything the app records stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server.

Information the app uses

• Motion & fitness activity — used only on your device to detect when you are driving, so drives can be logged automatically.
• Location — used only on your device to detect the start and end of a drive and to estimate driving conditions (for example, highway vs. urban based on speed). Your location is never sent anywhere and is not stored as a location history.
• Driving sessions you log (duration, conditions, supervisor name, notes) — stored locally on your device so you can track progress and export a logbook.

The app may show local notifications to let you know a drive was detected or saved.

How your information is shared

It isn't. SteerStart contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to export a PDF or CSV logbook and share it yourself.

Data retention and deletion

Your data lives in the app's storage on your device. You can delete individual sessions in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes all of its data.

Children's privacy

SteerStart does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
